Windows Server and Active Directory Architecture

Description:

The candidate will plan, design, deploy, and maintain client – server architectures build on the Windows and/or Unix/Linux platforms. Activities may include the planning, deployment and configuration of server and workstation operating systems in a Microsoft Windows, Unix/Linux or mixed environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, test, deploy and maintain a secure and efficient server architecture;
  • Deploy and secure Windows and/or Unix/Linux operating systems to workstations;
  • Integrate printers and other devices and configure remote procedure calls to ensure high availability and LAN/WAN security;
  • Ensure functionality of a secure Local Area Network environment in its entirety;
  • Mastery of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and other related technologies;
  • Generate recommendations for the best course of action for small and medium networks given time to market, resource availability and other conflicting issues;
  • Ensure that best practices are applied;
  • Document platform and operational processes.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years experience at a Senior IT Engineer, systems architect level

  • Significant Windows, Unix/Linux and storage technologies experience;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills;
  • Ability to plan, test, deploy, and secure client – server applications to ensure high availability and business continuity;
  • Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years experience within the IT Industry.

Salary:

Fixed salary based on project.
