Control your storage with a Windows Home Server

0

Drawing1p.jpgMicrosofts new Windows Home Server (WHS) is a software-based, home-user oriented network-attached storage environment. Unfortunately, it lags features such as parental controls and auditing.

The Windows Home Server has good NAS-features (you can move all your files off your computer and onto your network), an image-based backup with file-by-file recovery, and bare metal restoration capabilities. Good remote access features round the Microsoft offering, and a robust Software Development Kit (SDK) may promote a future plug-ins development culture.
