Secret Service investigates Facebook poll

Cambridge (ip-192.com): CNN reports that a facebook user posted a poll over the weekend asking if President Obama should be killed. The poll was posted over the weekend and taken down on Monday after facebook users reported the activity. The U.S. Secret Service (USSS) is also investigating the incident.

"As is usually the case, our vigilant users reported it to us first," Facebook spokesman Barry Schnitt told CNN. "The USSS [Secret Service] sent us an e-mail late this morning PDT asking us to take it down. At that point, it had already been removed, and we let them know," the CNN story continues.

The application allowing the poll was immediately suspended by the developer, and the inappropriate content was removed, according to facebook spokesman Barry Schnitt. The poll asked: “Should Obama be killed?” It offered four choices: No, Maybe, Yes, and Yes if he cuts my health care.

The Wall Street Journal reports that the blogger GottaLaff spotted the poll on Monday and called the Secret Service. The identity of the facebook user has not been revealed yet.
