San Francisco (ip-192.com): The pending release of WordPress 3.0 will be one of the topics at "Wordcamp San Francisco 2010" from May 1 to 4. The new release of the popular blogging software will allow users to run multiple blogging sites from one installation, previously known as WordPress Multi-User (WPMU). Administrators will be able to set their own username, new custom backgrounds and header options plus custom Post Type functionality should make it into the latest version of WordPress that was first released in May 2003 by Matt Mullenweg.
"Wordcamp San Francisco 2010" will feature Mullenweg and Richard Stallman, who launched the development of the GNU operating system in 1984, as speakers. Joseph Scott will talk about "Writing Responsible Plug-in & Theme Code," and Karl Fogel will talk about "Bodysurfing the Blogosphere: How an Audience-Distributed Film Won Big."Working sessions on May 2 to 4 will focus on coding and bug-patching for release 3.0.
